Gisela was born in Geilenkirchen, Germany and developed her
culinary talents as a young girl in her uncle’s bakery.
She helped in the kitchen baking special pastries for the
townspeople’s delectation. She married and came to the
United States in 1977 and delighted friends, family and
neighbors with her seasonal baking. She started with simple
cookies and soon added her special variety of
often-requested muffins and cakes. The muffins proved to be
so popular that word spread quickly and now people with no
apparent link to Gisela’s original circle of family and
friends are calling to order muffins.
